The Annenberg Science Knowledge (ASK) survey, which began in February 2016, is a public opinion research project dedicated to exploring pressing questions in science communication. The project has included a large-scale longitudinal survey in 2018-19 of public attitudes toward vaccination. Current work includes a panel survey on knowledge, attitudes, and behavior involving vaccination and other preventive measures during the Covid-19 pandemic. Past weekly tracking surveys have focused on public concern over the Zika virus, including support for public policies to combat it, and related health and behavioral implications. ASK surveys also have gauged public opinion and knowledge on related science issues such as genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
Public Confidence in One’s Own Healthcare Provider Remains High
Americans’ confidence in their healthcare providers remains high while confidence in U.S. healthcare institutions has declined since the start of President Trump's second term, an APPC survey conducted from April 2021-August 2026 finds.
