Hart to Conduct Focus Group with Pittsburgh Blue-Collar Workers

On June 21, pollster Peter Hart and Hart Research Associates will release interviews with a focus group of blue-collar and economically struggling workers in Pittsburgh, PA to get their opinions on the 2016 presidential race.

Participants in the June 20 session will include Democrats, Republicans, and independent voters. They will discuss their views on the ongoing election and the presumptive nominees, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, as well as their overall view of America and of their own lives. Places like Pittsburgh; Flint, Mich.; Toledo, Ohio, and others which are struggling economically are critical in the race for the White House, because the candidates will need to break through to the voters there in order to be successful.

The Pittsburgh focus group is the fifth in this election cycle of “Voices of the Voters,” a series run by Hart for the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. Earlier sessions took place in Missouri in April 2016, Ohio in December 2015, Indiana in October 2015, and Colorado in January 2015.

For more information on the focus group, which will be live-streamed and later available online, contact Hart Surveys.
