Former Secretary of State George P. Shultz to deliver lecture on future of democracy

The Office of the President will join the Annenberg Public Policy Center and The Institute for Public Service at the AnnenbergSchool for Communication on October 18 to pay tribute to the Honorable Leonore Annenberg at the Leonore Annenberg Lecture in Public Service and Global Understanding. The event will feature George P. Shultz, the Thomas W. and Susan B. Ford distinguished fellow at the Hoover Institution, delivering a lecture on the future of democracy.

The annual event was established to recognize Mrs. Annenberg’s generosity and service throughout the world as well as the University. This year we celebrate ground breaking for the new AnnenbergPublicPolicyCenter building. Once construction is complete, the annual lecture will be delivered in the new facility.

The event is open to the University of Pennsylvania community of students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Seating is limited.
