Jeffrey A. Gottfried is the Howard Deshong Postdoctoral Fellow at the Annenberg Public Policy Center. He completed his Ph.D. in Communication at the Annenberg School for Communication of the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. Jeffrey’s interests fall broadly in the area of the influence of mass communication on individuals’ attitudes, opinions, cognitions, and behaviors, and on society, with a more specific focus on the influence of political campaigns and the news media during American elections. He is also interested in advanced social scientific research methods. His work has been published in journals including Communication Research, Dædalus, Political Behavior, and Political Research Quarterly.
