Elizabeth Harris finished her Ph.D. at New York University in 2022 and is now the William J. Heinrich Postdoctoral Fellow with the Annenberg Public Policy Center and the Social Action Lab. Elizabeth Harris’s research largely focuses on investigating how people’s social identities, particularly partisanship, affect their belief in and sharing of misinformation online. She is also interested in the functions and motivations behind misinformation sharing, in how social media may exacerbate political polarization, and in the generalizability and communication of psychological research.
