The Annenberg Public Policy Center hosted the first Conference on Children and Television in June of 1996. The goal of the conference was to focus on what is good about current programming for children, the positive role that high-quality, educational television can play in children’s lives, and ways producers and programmers can overcome the obstacles to provide more and better programs for children.
