Deena Weisberg is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Villanova University. Her research focuses on imaginative thinking, with particular focus on how young children learn from fictional stories and how their imaginative capacities contribute to their development. She also studies scientific reasoning in children and adults. Some recent projects on that topic investigate the public understanding of science, particularly neuroscience and evolutionary theory, and the relationship between knowledge of science content and scientific reasoning abilities. Dr. Weisberg completed her Ph.D. at Yale University and underwent postdoctoral training at Rutgers University and Temple University.
