Peter Hart Focus Group to Explore ‘Late-Decider’ Voters in Charlotte, N.C.

On October 25, veteran pollster Peter Hart and Hart Research Associates will be conducting their final focus group of the 2016 presidential race, sitting down with “late-decider” voters in Charlotte, N.C., who still have not made up their minds about whom to support.

Hart notes that two main questions to be explored through this focus group are: “What factors went into people deciding who to support, and what is the message that emerges from this chaotic year — what are the voters trying to tell the next president and congress?” The discussion will provide a qualitative sense of these undecided voters’ thoughts about the election and “how they see America and their lives more broadly.”

The focus group is the seventh in the “Voices of the Voters” series for the 2015-2016 election cycle, an ongoing project run by Hart for the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. Previous sessions were conducted in Milwaukee in August 2016, Pittsburgh in June 2016, Missouri in April 2016, Ohio in December 2015, Indiana in October 2015, and Colorado in January 2015.
