APPC Distinguished Fellow Karen Glanz elected to IOM

Annenberg Public Policy Center Distinguished Fellow Karen Glanz, Ph.D., M.P.H., has been elected a member of the Institute of Medicine, one of seven professors from the Perelman School of Medicine elected this year to the IOM. Election to the Institute of Medicine is one of the highest honors in biomedicine. Dr. Glanz is George A. Weiss University Professor, Professor of Epidemiology and Nursing, and director of the Center for Health Behavior Research.

 

Established in 1970, the nearly 2,000-member IOM is the health arm of the National Academy of Sciences, and is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides unbiased advice to policymakers and the public.  Read more about the announcement here.
